Our Reception children, were very lucky to have Michelle Noble-Jones, the author of Manu the Orangutan come and share her story with us. Being an author is Michelle’s hobby, her main job is working for Essex Police. The children found it fascinating that she could have two jobs. Nursery were exceedingly lucky to have Tony from Braintree Library come and visit them. He brought in Book Start packs for each child and then read two stories for them. The Gruffalo was definitely a popular choice! Tony mentioned that Braintree Library are encouraging more and more people to come in and spend some time there, they have a lot going on and it can be a fun place to visit. It's not the 'quiet place' that it used to be!

Year 1 had a fantastic day at Hedingham Castle recently.
